Biography

Jennifer Brigitte is a theater actress from Miami, Florida. During her formative high school years, she was part of the Actor’s Playhouse, committing herself to the craft of a budding  comedic actress. Her childhood dream was to be a No-Ready-for-Primetime cast member on Saturday Night Live. Brigitte found inspiration in Gilda Radner, Gene Wilder Sandra Bullock, Charlie Chaplin, Bette Midler, Robin Williams, and John Ritter. Ritter was so instrumental to Brigitte as a teen, that for her audition at the Actor’s Playhouse, she put together a Ritter-inspired physical comedy routine. Over the years, Brigitte also performed Musical theater and performed in various theater productions including, West Side Story, Grease, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Chicago, for which I played Anita, Rizzo, Magenta and the her famous pair lips, and Velma Kelly respectively. In 2007, Brigitte won first place in the statewide and nationwide Oral Interpretation of Poetry competition. She performed Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous piece “The Raven.” Brigitte started to write in 2005 and by 201, two of her plays have been performed in two major cities: The Shelf Life (produced by Ground Up in Rising for Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida) and The Yearbook (produced by the the Magnum Opus Company for The Fringe Festival in Los Angeles, California). Brigitte is a talented actress, singer, songwriter, screenwriter, playwright, branding marketer, publicist, and producer who is currently working her debut film Obscura under her media publishing startup Optical Vortex. As Vortex, she has been published in several different blogs and magazines such as Splash and Style Equation Magazine. This winter, Brigitte will debut her series of articles aimed at the political and entertainment analysis for the cultural expansion of the Young Adult and Millennial market. Her first series in the brand is the adventurous the various Gonzo Girls who shape the landscape of the women in power from crusading journalists to a coming of age high school princess who strips herself bare from the superficiality of her world. Gonzo Girls is meant to inspire the new crop of young adults to gain a voice in the pop culture vortex.
